Lingerie seems to be one of the most conservative parts of female clothes. Pants, bras and whatever are slightly prone to “seasonal variations” of designer innovations. At least less than your coat, skirt or jeans. What is the reason?  The main feature of the lingerie is its comfort and functionality. No one will ever exchange comfort for terrible bruises under the breasts, falling shoulder-straps, worn spots and scratches. That’s why even for luxury female underwear there were certain reasonable points which limited designers’ uncontrollable imagination. Still creative approach remains creative to find way out of any hopeless situation.

Cloth is the most favourite platform for designer’s research. We overcome universal admiration of satin, lycra and guipure. There seemed to be the short “fever” of velvet. Since the new millennium begun designers’ point of view became simpler. Several seasons at a row ageing-resistent embroidery keeps the leadership, guipure and lace do as well still in a rather reserve manner. Cotton clothe with small ornaments, French knitted fabric, nice fruit motives as tabs and embroidery are very popular and adequate.

Models

Each season a certain favourite model comes at the edge of the wave. Still without fanaticism for functionality is the ruling aspect. The latest collections do not offer any new ideas. In youth fashion the main accent is made on the functional, comfort, seamless underwear. For those who have some faults to be hidden there is a surprise – a new tendency for lingerie of a more complicated construction, which helps to correct slight defects. Forms and cuts are various and attractive, lines tend to the balkonette fashion.

The greatest surprise of luxury female underwear will be bras, which are to make the breast look a bit bigger. There are special pockets to put in little packs, and balkonette bras will raise breast.

The peculiarity of current seasons is the mixture of 50s, 60s and 80s styles. There are lots of models with corsages and laces- garters within the collections. Frequently such retro style upper part designers suggest combining with open strings.

Colours

Each season bring about a new kind of attraction. Personal preferences however remain but shop windows are swarming with new colours. Purple, lilac and blue these are the main colours suggested by French designers over the latest seasons. Pay attention on the fact that purple while being smooth, with satin glance differs from that very colour in lace variant. Italian designer suggest a bit more reserve clolours range – some sort of ivory.
